Juli Finn is a guitarist, songwriter, recording artist, and educator whose work bridges performance, composition, and contemporary music pedagogy. With a career spanning rock, blues, fusion, and popular music, she brings a deeply musical, student-centered approach to the classroom rooted in creativity, collaboration, and practical musicianship.
As a performer, Finn has appeared on stages across the United States and Europe in a wide range of musical contexts, from original instrumental and vocal projects to high-energy rock and blues ensembles. As a founding member of the instrumental group Destiny, she has shared stages with nationally recognized artists and developed a performance style noted for its expressive phrasing, strong melodic sense, and stylistic versatility. Her work as a guitarist reflects a lifelong engagement with tone, groove, and improvisation, drawing on rock and blues traditions while incorporating elements of jazz and contemporary songwriting.
Finn is an active recording artist and self-producer, with multiple album releases that reflect her commitment to original music and independent artistry. She currently performs with the Jon Finn Group, a progressive instrumental project, and Fast Times, an 80s rock and pop ensemble, maintaining an active performance schedule alongside her teaching and recording work. In addition, she maintains a strong online presence as an educator and performer, reaching thousands of students and listeners through performance videos, instructional content, and artist collaborations.
Juli Finn currently serves on the faculty at Berklee College of Music and Stonehill College, where she teaches courses in guitar, songwriting, music technology, and ensemble performance.
