Juli Finn | Guitarist, Songwriter & Vocalist
Juli Finn is an award winning powerhouse guitarist, songwriter, and recording artist whose musical footprint spans rock, blues, fusion, and progressive music. Known for her expressive phrasing, rich tone, and deep groove, Juli’s career is defined by a lifelong dedication to the stage, the studio, and the evolution of modern guitar.
At the heart of her creative output is her work with the Jon Finn Group. Traditionally known as a strictly progressive instrumental act, the band’s sound evolved dynamically when Juli joined the ranks. She brought her own vocal-driven tunes into the mix; vocal songs that are still packed to the brim with heavy, intricate guitar riffs and soaring solos. With the group, Juli has pushed the boundaries of contemporary performance, recently sharing stages and trading riffs with legendary guitar virtuosos like Steve Morse and Carl Verheyen.
Her dynamic performance career spans the United States and Europe, stretching from her roots as a founding member of the instrumental group Destiny to delivering high-energy rock and pop with the 80s tribute Fast Times. An active recording artist and self-producer, Juli's original compositions bridge vocal-driven hooks with serious, technical musicianship.
When she isn't on stage or in the studio, Juli is living out her dream in the classroom. She proudly serves on the faculty at both Berklee College of Music and Stonehill College, where she teaches guitar, songwriting, music technology, and ensemble performance. For Juli, teaching is a natural extension of her life as a working musician, bringing real-world, stage-tested expertise to mentoring the next generation of creative voices.
