Ukulele Festival April 2019

For the past two years, I have been teaching ukulele at the Hingham Council on Aging and the Norwell Senior Center. It has been such a rewarding experience sharing the love of this beautiful instrument with my students, and equipping them to sing and share songs together. Some of them never imagined they could actually perform out in public, but when they had a recital at the Barnes & Noble at Derby Street, many were laughing and smiling, and truly enjoying the experience.

My vision for the Ukulele festival was to just bring people together in one big place to play a bunch of fun tunes together. That’s exactly what we did and the response was overwhelming. My friends Jon Finn (bass) and Larry Finn (drums) joined me for an afternoon of fun.

You can see some wonderful videos and images that appeared in the Patriot Ledger this week. Here’s the link to the article https://www.patriotledger.com/news/20190420/chorus-of-ukuleles-in-hanover
